Pickleball was dropped into our neighborhood park. Add to that the screamers that can’t seem to believe they hit the ball. There’s been no apology, let alone transparency or outreach to the neighborhoods who have to listen to the crack of the ball every time it hits the paddle, seven days a week. Really? How about an apology to the citizens impacted by this noisy sport? Not noisy, you say? See articles in the New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, Denver Post, among others. So the parks director is apologizing to the pickleballers. Because our society, politicians and media have abandoned the enlightened morals and ethical principles our country was founded on, which is the Judeo-Christian ethic. ![]() Why? Because we have an abundance of guns? No. Violence in our country is no doubt increasing.
